Going to Kingdom Hall for first time
by InChristAlone insince my family is out of town, and i am alone this weekend, i have decided to attend this once to see these things for myself.
have no fear, i have absolutely no interest in joining.
my goal is simply to better understand how to reach those who are on the inside, and i feel i could better do that by observing it.

I agree not quite the stupidest thing I ever read but it should be in the running. Science has nothing to do with faith.

I agree with slimboyfat stay away. Someone like me could go and resist the BITE control but I'd rather slide down a 90 foot razor blade than go and listen to that drival.

Will Rudd learn from the lesson of Brown?
by slimboyfat inisn't australian politics fascinating?
having toppled the woman who first toppled him, prime minister rudd now faces the choice of calling an election sooner or later.
it was a similar choice that faced gordon brown in the uk when he replaced tony blair in 2007. gordon brown was remarkably popular at the time, a brief popularity that came out of nowhere and that equally disappeared never to return.

My daughter asks about the Bible
by laverite inmy 9 year old asked me yesterday about the bible.
some of her friends in school last year spent a lot of time talking about hell and it really scared her.
i dealt with it with her, so she is reassured and comforted and realizes she doesn't need to worry about going to hell.

For all you Americans Whiskey is a religion in the uk and in Canada too where I live. I think cigars are more of a Southern thing. My Italian wife is more of a grappa girl she had a relative in South Africa send us a case of Landscroon which is a very nice wine, expensive here but in South Africa her uncle said it.s so common they boil thier spaghetti in it. LOL

I am not big on banning behavior Anderson. Just go after the finances. Concentrate on thier religous charity status.
